The Jaguar XFR-S – Jaguar’s most powerful saloon car to date – has leaked out ahead of its debut tonight at the Los Angeles Auto Show. We’re hoping that Jaguar has managed to bestow extra power on the very appealing XFR without wrecking the stuff that makes Jaguar saloons so appealing – the dynamic/ride balance – which, if they have, will make the XFR-S a more appealing bonkers sports saloon than the German offerings. The promise is all there with a new butch front end, a more aggressive body kit, chunks of carbon fibre, a huge rear wing for extra downforce, a new diffuser at the back, stiffer springs, a new rear subframe with stiffer bushes, a tweaked active diff and a tweak of the stability control for more fun.
The Buick that enthusiasts have been clamoring for--the Regal GS show car revealed at the Detroit auto show--will soon be reality. This turbocharged demon packing 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque with a six-speed manual transmission and a host of performance enhancements has been approved, spokeswoman Dayna Hart told AutoWeek on Monday. Volvo has facelifted the C30 for 2010 and will launch it at Frankfurt
The front of the new C30 sports sheet metal changes to the wings and bonnet and a bigger Volvo badge on the honeycomb grill, together with bigger air intake. These changes reflect those seen on the new Volvo C70 and are a reflection of design cues from the S60 Concept. The rear gets a tweak too, and you now get a colour-coded rear valence, which can be specified in a contrast colour if you wish.
